All Japan Defense Association

The All Japan Defense Association (全国防衛協会連合会, AJDA) was founded in 1989, aiming to support the Self-Defense Forces and raise people’s awareness of the necessity of national security.

This group has supported constitutional revision; they welcomed then Prime Minister Abe Shinzō’s indication that he would aim for constitutional revision in 2020.

Their publications, including annual reports and essays by members, are available here. This group also publishes research papers on their website. For example, the theme for their 2018 research papers was “The Constitution of Japan and the Self-Defense Forces (日本国憲法と自衛隊).” The research papers are partially accessible here.
